I beg to differ. The first one is slightly correct, and the second one is just plain stereotypical. First, there are "white hats". They find vulnerabilities in websites, applications, etc. They search for the weak points so they can increase their knowledge for the good of humankind, like programming patches for sites. They are not known much. "Black hats", as you might have guessed, are the ones assumed to be hackers, the bad guys. You can think of them as evildoers, making viruses, making DDoS attacks to a webpage (search it up), etc. You see?
Anyways, if you want to learn how to hack (hopefully in a good manner, there are a lot of good webpages you can find about it, ranging from webpage hacks to computer hacks. Just make sure you don't stumble upon a bad website, it could potentially screw up your computer. If you want to learn how to hack webpages, I HIGHLY suggest www.hackthissite.org. They have tutorials, and fake webpages for you to test your skills on!
So there you have it. Sorry for going on and on :)
